This floaty was made around 1949. On the upper portion of the gold barrel of this mechanical pencil are the words, "Packard Golden Anniversary, 1899-1949" and on the lower barrel, "Packard Long Beach, Long Beach, California." In very tiny type, engraved at the pencil's midline, one can make out the manufacturer's name and address: "Secretary Pen Co., Union, NJ USA."
